Background
Bridget has been a dancer and athlete her whole life. Since she could walk, she has competitively danced, played soccer, basketball, ran track, and cross country, then discovered boxing, yoga, and trekking in her teens. Movement has always been an outlet and resource Bridget’s for physical, mental, emotional, relational, environmental, and spiritual health, and she carries this into her practice today.
After suffering a serious hamstring injury at age 14, and later being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease at 19, Bridget learned how to cope and heal from the inside out through a total transformation of her own health through education and a dedication to seeking out a path to true health naturally and holistically.
Inspired by dancing since the age of 4, majoring in Dance in college, and her uncle Jim Walsh, a former NFL player who started his own training gym for upcoming NFL combine athletes, Bridget learned how the body works at a biological and kinesiological level, and how to care for the body as a temple that is capable of keeping us feeling our best and thriving at any age, and capable of healing from disease or injury.
Inspired to use her knowledge and passion for movement and natural health as a means to teach others how to heal themselves, Bridget got her 200hr Yoga and Ayurveda Certification at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2014, practicing first in Spanish while living in Chile for several years, also dancing with Jose Vidal y Compañía, coaching a women’s soccer league, and teaching English.
In 2016 Bridget moved to New York City, and after teaching dance and yoga in the public school system, Bridget obtained the following certifications:
2017 AeroYoga Certification
2018 NCSF Personal Training CPT
2018 Pre/Post Natal Certification
